What is KFC?

KFC stands for Kids For Christ. This is our children’s church and small groups on the weekends at Woodland the Community Church and is for kids K – Fifth Grade. KFC meets in the Chasm during each of the weekend services. The services are Saturday Night at 5:00 and Sunday morning at 9:00 and 10:45. During KFC we use high energy video, singing, small groups, and drama to teach God's Word.

How Do I Check In/Out?

When you arrive for KFC all children must be check in. No one is allowed to enter the Chasm unless they have a proper Id tag on. When you check in your child you will use our electronic check in system. Our registration team will assist you in any way possible. Once you check in then a two name tags will be printed for you. One of the name tags is for the children while the other one is for the parent, guardian, or who ever will be picking up the children. Upon check out only one parent is allowed to enter the room. When you enter the room you will be asked to go find your child, head over to our security team to get check out, and then you are allowed to leave.

What Does KFC Look Like?

KFC is made up into three components and each target a particular type of learning and relational environment.

1. Power Up (Large Group)

Power Up is designed to engage children in worship within a large group setting. Music, prayer, and an innovative approach to the Bible story are always a part of this interactive time.

2. Plug In and Catch On (Small groups)

Plug In and Catch On is designed to help kids understand how the day’s topic applies to them. They will discuss real-life experiences, interact with a small group of peers, and participate in a variety of activities that appeal to different learning styles.

3. Wrap Up (Large Group)

Wrap Up is designed to summarize the day’s events, give out the KFC Challenge, play a game, and worship God again.

What is the KFC Passport?

The KFC Passport is your destination for fun and prizes! You get your Passport book from Mr. Mike or your small group leader. Make sure to bring you passport book each week and try not to lose it.

Here are your instructions on how to fill your KFC Passport with stickers that will give you chances to win great prizes and have a lot of fun learning Bible verse.

· Collect stickers each week for your chance to win prizes.

· If you collect 3 or 4 of the bottom line stickers you get 10 extra entries into the monthly drawing.

· If you collect 3 or 4 of the bottom line stickers, collect 3 or 4 bring your Bible stickers, and the memory verse sticker you could get a chance to spin the prize wheel at the beginning of next month.

· You will get stickers for bringing your Bible, having the bottom line of the week, and knowing the memory verse.

· You will get stickers at your small group or from Mr. Mike.

What Is Activity Time?

Activity Time is for Parents who attend on-campus Life Groups (Sat. Night or Sunday morning), as well as those in volunteer service (who worship one hour then serve the other hour on campus). During Activity Time your children will go to the elementary kid’s activity room after KFC (ROC), where a qualified adult leader and helpers will supervise a fun and creative Bible lesson, then a wholesome kid’s recreation and fellowship time. The kid’s activity time is 6:15pm Saturday and 10:45am Sunday.

In KFC each month we have a new an exciting word to learn. Each word for the month will help children understand and live out God everyday.
